Pedro Hernandez Jr., a native of Seguin, Texas, gained his wings on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at the age of 78 years. He was born in Seguin, Texas, on November 18, 1939 to Pedro Hernandez, Sr. and Julia Flores.
Mr. Hernandez is preceded in death by his parents; son, Peter Anthony Hernandez; daughter, Eva Hernandez-Tovar; and grandson, Johnathan Ray Herrera his brother, Big John Hernandez.
Mr. Hernandez is survived by his fiancé/companion, Maria Oralia Moreno; two daughters, Julie Hernandez-Rivas (Juan) and Elizabeth Guerrero (Frank); two sons, Joseph Martin Hernandez (Iris Herrera) and Pedro Hernandez III; Grandchildren, James Hernandez (Stephanie), Genevee Varela, Derick Sanchez, Rudy Nicholas Herrera, Bianca Leanne Salazar (Luis), Michael Anthony Hernandez, Peter Anthony Hernandez, Bethany Marie Hernandez, Gabrielle Hernandez, Christopher Hernandez, Cecilia Guerrero and Francheska Sullivan and great grandchildren; brothers, Adrian Hernandez and Alberto Hernandez (Rosemary); numerous family and friends.
Mr. Hernandez was a veteran that served his country in the U.S. Navy and was also a longtime salesman here in Seguin. He had the biggest heart that was always trying to help his fellow man. His family will always remember him being a jokester, the immense love he had for his family and of course, his love for the Dallas Cowboys.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at Palmer Mortuary Chapel in Seguin from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, with a prayer service to be held at 7:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 10:00am at Palmer Mortuary Chapel. The burial will immediately follow at San Geronimo Cemetery in Seguin.
Pallbearers for will be Mario Hernandez, Oscar Hernandez, Johnny Hernandez, Michael Hernandez, Ralph Hernandez and Flavio Ponce.
