Richard Anderson Love, age 82 of Seguin, passed away on May 22, 2019. He was born in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee on March 25, 1937 to Joseph Anderson Love and Altha Blanche (Satterfield) Love. Richard is preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Janice Sue (Sledge) Love, his parents, 11 of his brothers and sisters and other loved family members. Richard was the 12th of 13 children and the baby boy of the family.
Richard is survived by his sister Carole Gay (Love) Hendrix; his two daughters, Donna Regina Love and Angelia Dawn Love; grandchildren, Lisa Marie Schra, Jeremy Wade Evans and James Richard Dodds; three great-grandchildren, Aurelia Raven Kelldorf, David Xavier Kelldorf and River Austin Evans as well as his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members and friends.
A gentle, compassionate man with strong opinions, Richard was an Air Force Veteran, a true Renaissance man and visionary. Richard was a published author of numerous novels and books of poetry. He was a published songwriter and performer, a painter and inventor, who enjoyed designing, resorting and flying his planes, fast cars and spending time with his family.
Richard will be missed and forever remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.
Memorial Contributions may be made in his name to St. Jude's Children's Fund or Shiners.
A viewing and Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Palmer Mortuary from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Memorial Service will begin at 5:00 p.m.
