Alicia Garcia

August 1, 1954 — May 9, 2025

Schertz, Texas

Alicia Garcia (Lee), a remarkable individual whose strength, resilience, and love embraced everyone, peacefully departed from this world on May 9, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on August 1, 1954, in Seguin, Texas, Lee began her vibrant journey that led her to touch the hearts of many.

While Lee worked many different types of jobs, she began her career job at Motorola in August 1993. She had an incredible work ethic, working thru her first battle with cancer and continuing into her passing . Lee’s professional life was not merely a job; it was a reflection of her character, showcasing her willingness to embrace new challenges, inspire others along the way and leaving behind a legacy of hard work and cherished friendships.

Those who knew Lee were often drawn to her tough and tender spirit. As a single mother, she embodied strength and determination, always striving to provide the best for her children—Chris, Elijah, and Michelle. Lee had a unique knack for infusing joy into the lives of those around her. She possessed a wonderful sense of humor and a caring nature, always willing to lend a hand to friends and family. Her liking for adventure and for trying new things made her the life of the party, bringing warmth and laughter wherever she went.

Lee had a flair for the creative, particularly evident in her beloved hobby of decorating her parents' cemetery site for holidays and special occasions. This tradition highlighted her deep love for family and remembrance, reflecting a thoughtful and considerate spirit. Additionally, she found joy in taking care of her plants and collecting fifty-cent pieces and two-dollar bills, which spoke to her unique personality and love for the little things in life.

Despite the ongoing battle she faced with cancer, Lee never gave up fighting. Her determination was an inspiration to everyone around her. The rapid progression of her illness was unexpected, leading to her untimely passing, but her strength in the face of adversity left an indelible mark on the souls she touched.

Lee is survived by her beloved children, Chris Garcia, Elijah Balderas, and Michelle Norman, who carry forward her legacy of love and resilience. She was a cherished mother-in-law to Larry Norman, Jessica Martinez and a proud grandmother to Hannah, Ian, James, Aubreighanna, Jacob, Julia, Hailey, Justice, and Aiden.

Lee leaves behind her siblings—Irma, Rosemary, Beatrice, Louis, Raymond, Gilbert, and Joe,-as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever treasure the memories shared with her. Those she rejoined in spirit include her father Manuel Garcia, her mother Delfina Garcia, and her brothers Steve, Juan, and Enrique Garcia, who eagerly welcomed her into their embrace.

Lee Garcia's life was full of moments woven with laughter, love, and resilience. As we mourn her sudden departure, we celebrate a life well-lived, a mother well-loved, and a spirit that will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew her.
