Aurora Quintanilla, 95, of Seguin, Texas, passed away on May 16, 2025. Born on April 27, 1930, in Seguin, she remained a lifelong resident of the community she cherished.
Miss Quintanilla lived a life devoted to faith, family, and hard work. She was known for her unwavering commitment to God and for instilling strong values and a diligent work ethic in her nieces and nephews. Through her guidance, she helped them embrace the American way of life while honoring their Hispanic heritage. Her legacy as a moral compass and mentor will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her siblings: Guadalupe Flores, Filemon Saenz, Pedro Saenz, Fidel Saenz, Fermin Saenz, Esther De Hoyos, and Marcial ("Mache") Saenz. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will continue to honor her memory.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Seguin. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m., followed by a mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Robert Leal, Jonathan Flores, Eric J. Garcia, Robert Flores, Frank Flores, and Paul Sanchez. Honorary pallbearers are John Michael De Hoyos and Samuel Saenz.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Hospice Heart to Heart for their compassionate care, especially to caregiver Norma Leal for her dedicated service and companionship.
Appreciation is also extended to Palmer Mortuary for their professional services.
Miss Quintanilla's humor and exceptional memory will be deeply missed. Her family takes comfort in knowing she rests in the arms of the Lord, reunited with her beloved siblings.
