Baldomero H. Guerrero Jr.

March 19, 1957 — September 2, 2025

Seguin, Texas

Baldomero H. Guerrero Jr., affectionately known as “Chief,” departed this world on September 2, 2025, in his beloved hometown of Seguin, Texas, at the age of 68. Born on March 19, 1957, Baldomero lived a life filled with creativity, love, and the steadfast strength of his faith.

Through all the ups and downs life presented, Baldomero built an intimate relationship with the Lord, which provided him with solace and resilience right until the end. His unwavering spirit was a source of inspiration for many, lifting those around him during times of need.

Chief was a family man at heart, possessing a deep love for his entire family. He cherished every precious moment spent with them, capturing memories through photographs and stories that would last a lifetime. His heart was open to those in need, always ready with a helping hand and a warm smile. This caring nature extended beyond blood relations; through his numerous travels, he created a broader family that he loved just as fiercely. Among them was a special bond he developed during his time in Louisiana, a place he considered a home away from home.

Baldomero was proud of many accomplishments, particularly his talent for woodworking, a skill he inherited from his father. Each creation was not just a testament to his craftsmanship but a tribute to the love he carried for his roots. He found joy in the warmth of the kitchen, cooking with the same creativity he infused into his handiwork. In addition to these passions, he enjoyed the outdoors, often found by the water, or enjoying evenings filled with music around a bonfire.

He was a devoted brother to his sister, Yesenia Avila and brothers, David H. Guerrero and Lawrence Guerrero. A loving father to Amber Guerrero, Justin (Candice) Guerrero, and Brittany Guerrero, to whom each holds dear the love and lessons he imparted. As a grandfather, he took immense pride in his grandchildren – Desiree Hyatt, Shaylee Hyatt, Kiersten Hyatt, Evan Hernandez, Grayson Wade, Ethan Guerrero, Kylee Guerrero, Sadie Guerrero, Jayden Ketner and Blake Ketner – showering them with affection and wisdom while being an ever-present force in their lives. All while being a loving son, brother, father and grandfather, he took pride in his relationships with his many nieces, nephews, tias and tios.

Baldomero was preceded in death by his father, Baldomero G. Guerrero; his mother, Lupe H. Guerrero; and his sisters, Esther Avila and Vionita Gallardo. The legacy he leaves behind is one full of love, creativity, and deep family bonds that will resonate within family and friends for years to come.

In honoring his life, family and friends will gather for visitation on September 8, 2025, at Palmer Mortuary, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a prayer service to begin at 6:30 PM.

The final farewell will take place on September 9, 2025, with visitation starting at 8:00 AM and a funeral service to begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery.

As we reflect upon the life of Baldomero H. Guerrero Jr., we remember a man whose love for family, community, and the Lord will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
