Barbara Ellen Knight was called Home to the Lord on July 5, 2021, at the age of 79 in Seguin, Texas. She was born on February 19, 1942, to Stella Mae (McCuistion) and Charles Willis Gresham in Canyon, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Stella, and Charles Gresham; sisters, Nina Stanfield, and Alice Morton; brother, Charles Gresham and her granddaughter, Jessica Calaway-Shaw.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 30 years of marriage, Darrell Knight; children, George (Freda) Lindsey, Darlina (Eddie L.) Swain, Rusty (Ruby) Lindsey, Johnny (Cindy) Lindsey, Mark (Misty) Lindsey and, Chad (Kimberly) Knight; grandchildren, Stephanie Bramlett, Christal Lindsey, Samantha Lindsey, Paul Lindsey, Clint Swain, Nicole Swain, Bruce Swain, Rebecca Calaway, Dustin Lindsey, Ashton Lindsey-Duggan, Justin Lindsey, Kaytlin Wills, Jordan Jones, Brandon Lindsey, Colton Hedrick, Alli Hedrick and, Ryan Knight; 18-great-grandchildren and 3-great-great-granchdilren and 1-brother, Dwayne Gresham.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 1, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Palmer Mortuary. The family will recess for lunch and invites everyone back to Palmer Mortuary for a funeral service at 2:00 p.m . Interment will follow on Monday, August 2, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery: 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78209 for a Committal Service in Shelter #1 . Everyone is asked to make their way to the cemetery and assemble at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery as there will not be a funeral procession leading to the cemetery.
