Beverly Annette "Bev" Hager passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 93.
Born on Christmas Day in 1932 in Denver, Colorado, Bev brought warmth and joy to those around her throughout her long and meaningful life. The first daughter of Lenard William Hager and Clara Louise Hebert, Bev grew up in Denver alongside her siblings. She pursued her passion for music at the University of Denver, where she studied violin for several years. Her love for music remained a constant throughout her life, especially through her involvement with Faith Presbyterian Church in Aurora, Colorado. There, she found great joy singing in the church choir and participating in Bible study.
In the 1980s, Bev worked as the Human Resources Coordinator for Comcast Cablevision in Mobile, Alabama. Her dedication and professionalism left a lasting impression on colleagues during her tenure. Bev's life was rich with creativity and care. She had a deep love for gardening-spending countless hours tending to flowers and grooming her lawn with pride. Her hands were rarely still; she found fulfillment in sewing, painting, macramé, knitting, and cooking. Yet above all else, she cherished time spent caring for her grandchildren. She was known for her warm conversations with friends and neighbors on her cul-de-sac and took special delight in the company of a young married couple nearby and their two daughters.
Bev is lovingly remembered by her sister Betty Fisher; her son Kevin Duane Knaus; and grandchildren Josh, Scott, Beau, and Grace May Eberly.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lenard William Hager and Clara Louise Hebert; sister Nancy Petralia; brother Lenard Hager Jr.; and daughter Lori Ann Heusohn.
Her memory will live on through those who knew and loved her. May it bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
