Carlos L. Gutierrez

Carlos Leal Gutierrez of Seguin passed away on Tuesday December 23, 2025 at the age of 88. He was born on December 3, 1937 in Seguin to Bradulio Gutierrez and Dorotea Leal. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Margarita Gutierrez, son Raul Gutierrez, daughter Corina Gutierrez, granddaughter Naomi Gonzalez and sister Angelita G. Jimenez. 

He is survived by his older brother Frank Leal Gutierrez; son, Carlos Gutierrez Jr., Samuel Gutierrez and wife Elida, daughters Betty G. Gonzalez and husband Carlos, Gloria G. Romo and husband Jorge and Lucy Gutierrez and partner Jose Herrera, 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to give a special thank you to Advance Hospice. Our Dad was a hard working man. He always provided for his family. He was a man of all trades and was always willing to help someone in need. He will be missed dearly by everyone that knew him.

And God will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Revelation 21:4

The family will receive condolences at Palmer Mortuary on Thursday, January 8, 2026 4 pm to 8 pm with a prayer service to begin at 7 pm.

Funeral Service will be at La Trinidad United Methodist Church 306 E. Gonzalez Seguin, Tx 78155 on Friday, January 9, 2026 10 am and interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery.
