Claude Miller

May 17, 1937 — January 19, 2017

The Lord called his servant Claude (C.L.) Miller home on Thursday, January 19, 2017. Remembered as a loving husband, father, son, uncle and brother, Claude was born on May 17, 1937. He was one of eight children born to Annie Miller and Isaac G. Miller of Guadalupe County, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his son Roland Spears.

Claude is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruthie Durham Miller, sons, Cedric and Leandrew Miller and daughters, Jerilyn and Michelle Miller, sister, Cornelia Miller Thomas (Sammie Thomas) of Corpus Christi and brother, Isaac G. Miller, Jr. of Columbus, Ohio along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Claude attended Ball High School in Seguin, Texas where he played football. In his adult life he enjoyed rooting for his favorite teams - the Washington Redskins and the San Antonio Spurs. Claude will be remembered for the limitless love he had for his family and zeal for life. He never tired of working outdoors, barbecuing, listening to blues and playing a good game of dominoes. His heart was happiest during vacations on the coast and special events when he was surrounded by his family and friends.
