David Burt

David C. Burt, of Gonzales, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the age of 61. He was born in San Marcos, Texas on June 30, 1956 to Katie E. (Causey) and Robert E. Burt.

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Robert Henry Burt, Thomas Edward Ragsdale, John Wesley Burt, Sr., Roger Elvis Burt and James Ray Burt.

Survivors include his children: Dodie Stuart and husband Stu, Douglas Claussen and wife Lisa, Jennifer Lookabill and husband David and Justin Burt; grandchildren: Aaron Burt, Michael Hazen, Kayla Duven, Dolton Claussen, Cheyenne Claussen, Jaydyn Lookabill, Jordan Lookabill and Rayvn Lookabill; 5 great grandchildren, siblings: William Write Jackson, Beverly Ann Gibson, Arthur Douglas Burt, Steve Larry Burt, Doyle Gene Burt, Shirlene James and Donna Lynn Anhalt; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

David will be remembered as a man that loved his family. He enjoyed playing with his children and grandchildren and making up raps with them. His hobbies included: fishing, golfing (especially with his grandchildren, brothers and nephews), listening to music, while barbequing and drinking beer. He was fond of cats and took a liking to the ones that would come by his house. David also appreciated his buddy Steve Petty and the friendship that they shared.

Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held at the Barton Cemetery, in Buda, Texas on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.

Active Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Burt, Steve Burt, Doyle Burt, Arthur Burt, Douglas Claussen and Justin Burt. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jordan Lookabill and Jaydyn Lookabill.
