With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Delia Gonzales O'Neal, who passed away on September 25th, 2026, in Chandler, Arizona, at the age of 83.
Delia was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose beautiful smile, wonderful sense of humor, and love of laughter brought joy to those around her.
She is proceeded in death by her beloved husband, Jack B. O'Neal; her parents, Pablo L. Gonzales and Leocadio L. Gonzales, and her siblings Jovita Gonzales, Victoria Torres, Tomasa Banuelos, and Pablo Gonzales Jr.
She is survived by her children, Mrs. Laura Krauss, Ms. Yolanda Kays, and Andrew Perales; her grandchildren, Laryssa, Mark, Laurynn, Andrea, Ty, Troy, Destiny, Andrew, Isiah, and Mia; her great-grandchildren, Jayda, Jaydin, Xavree, Sariyah, Londyn, Tyrell, Luna, and Luca; and her great-great-grandchild, Camilla.
She is also survived by her siblings, Maria Sandoval, Connie Kypfer, Esperanza Balderas, Maria Powell of Schertz, Texas, Alicia Moore of Lake Havasu, Arizona, Robert Gonzales, and Isabel Gonzales of Seguin, Texas, who remain part of the family bond she cherished throughout her life.
Delia and her husband, Jack B. O'Neal, owned and operated the Toltec Mini Mart for many years in Toltec, Arizona. While in Toltec, Delia also taught aerobics, was the Secretary of the Toltec Property Owners Association and member of the Toltec Ladies Club. After the passing of husband Jack, Delia devoted 17 years of service to the Pinal County Housing Authority, where she dedicated herself to serving her community. She completed the Certified Public Manager Program through Arizona State University and retired in 2006 as the HUD Program Coordinator.
Delia had a passion for life and treasured the experiences that brought her closer to the people and things she loved. In her pastime she enjoyed visiting yard sales, playing bingo with her daughters at the casino and later in life developed a passion for gardening. She relished spending time with her many grandchildren during the holidays. Some of the highlights of her life were traveling to Rome with her sister Alicia, where they got to see Pope Benedict XVI and after her retirement, a trip to Hawaii that included sisters Alicia, Connie, and Isabel.
A devoted parishioner of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church she kept her faith as close to her heart, as she did her family. Even in the days when her kidney disease took its toll on her, her faith never wavered and her smile never faded. She was a warrior.
In lieu of flowers we ask that you donate to the rebuilding of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 201 North Picacho Street, Casa Grande, Arizona 85122.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 20st, and Wednesday, 21nd 2026 in Seguin, TX at Palmer Mortuary and Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
May she rest in God's eternal peace, forever loved and never forgotten.
