Diane also worked many years as a unit clerk on the medical floor at Guadalupe Valley Hospital. She was known to be very efficient and able to multi-task at any given time. Diane was well-organized and took pride in keeping her unit tidy. She had her own unique sense of wittiness and had much compassion for her patients. She had deep religious beliefs and found solace in attending church services where she was a long-time member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. In her home were different religious candles, pictures, blankets, and artifacts with her favorite images of “La Virgen De Guadalupe”. From the kindness of her heart and her sympathy for sick children, Diane made monetary donations to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Diane enjoyed having family around her, backyard barbeques, dancing, listening to music, and watching novellas. She truly enjoyed classic wholesome family shows like Little House on the Prairie, The Waltons, and The Beverly Hillbillies. Diane would be most excited when going to Kickapoo Casino or playing Bingo. She liked tending to flowers, mowing her lawn, playing Solitaire on her phone and trying her luck at scratch off tickets. She took great pleasure in having her fingernails manicured and polished, her hair highlighted and beautifully styled. Diane also treasured her ruby rings, earrings, necklace and any ruby jewelry.
The family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to the staff at Avir nursing facility and to Gentiva Hospice Care for the compassionate care Dianna received.
