Felimon Gutierrez of Seguin, Texas was welcomed home by the Lord on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the age of 83. He was born to Pilar Sr. and Felipa (Rubio) Gutierrez on February 11, 1937 in Seguin, Texas.
Felimon was born and raised in Seguin, Texas and was a longtime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Holy Name Society; he devoted his strong faith to Our Lord Jesus Christ. He and his wife, Olivia always volunteered for the churches functions especially the Bazaar that they would hold annually. Felimon had a kind heart; he would help anyone in need whether it be through lending an ear to listen, to his helpful advice or giving out of the kindness of his heart. You could depend on him to be there for you. He was also a jokester, always cracking jokes and making those around him laugh. He also enjoyed music; he enjoyed singing and loved spending time with his family. Felimon will be greatly missed by all who knew him but his memory will always live on in the hearts of his family.
Felimon is preceded in death by both of his parents; his loving wife, Olivia Gutierrez; his brothers, Felix Gutierrez Sr., Federico Gutierrez, Pilar Gutierrez Sr. and his sisters, Maria Carrillo, Dominga Gutierrez Molina and Yolanda Rangel.
He is survived by his only son, Mario Gutierrez and wife, Carmen; grandchildren, Richard Gutierrez and Narissa Rangel; great-grandchildren, Kaylynn Gutierrez and Frankie Medina; his brothers, Refugio Gutierrez and wife, Dominga, Theodoro Gutierrez and Francisco Gutierrez and his wife, Irene. Felimon is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 9:00-9:30 a.m. followed by the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Holy Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m. all at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery as there will not be a funeral procession.
The family invites everyone to meet at the church and after the mass concludes, everyone to meet at San Geronimo Cemetery as there will not be a funeral procession.
As per CDC protocols social distancing of 6 feet is required and all guests attending services at the church and cemetery are required to wear a face covering.
