Felipa Leos

Felipa "Pita" Leos, age 90, passed away on December 5, 2015, just two days before her 91st birthday, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Felipa was born in Seguin, Texas on December 7, 1924 to Pablo and Sara Hernandez.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Santos C. Leos.

Survivors include her children Pablo Leos; Lucy Amador and husband John Paul; Esmeralda Sluder and husband Jim; Juan Leos and wife Ninfa; Yolanda Griffith and husband Richard; and beloved pet and constant companion Snoopy. Grandchildren John Paul Amador, Jr and wife Elaine; Kathy Amador-Cameron and husband Rodney; Caroline Nugent and husband T. J.; Laura Stockham and husband Steve; John Anthony Leos; Jeffery Leos; Michelle Clem and husband Brandon; Daniel Leos and wife Stacey; Ryan Griffith and wife Eva; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Felipa was a devoted wife to her husband Santos of 63 years and a caring mother to her children. She enjoyed cooking and always welcomed anyone to her table and made sure no one ever left hungry. She also enjoyed bingo, dancing, and attending all family and community events. She will be missed dearly by those that knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Palmer Mortuary from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will take place at Palmer Mortuary Chapel at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 9, 2015. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery in Seguin where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Santos.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Paul Amador, Sr., Jim Sluder, Richard Griffith, John Paul Amador, Jr., T. J. Nugent, Steve Stockham, Rodney Cameron, and Johnny Joe Sanchez.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the Doctors, Nurses and Chaplain from GRMC Hospice and to her caretakers, Olivia Garcia and Victoria Stakes, for their five years of devoted care and friendship.
