To know the man that Felix had become, was to love him. His humor and sarcasm always had people laughing. He loved to stay busy- helping others in any way possible, attending church, driving around the countryside, dining out with friends and family. His greatest joys were talking to his grandchildren and seeing his great grandchildren playing.
As kids, my father loved to drag us to lowrider car shows. He did not discriminate on the fact that he had 4 daughters. We were taught how to do things for ourselves. Changing the oil and greasing bearings on a car, adding a concrete foundation to the driveway and mowing a very large lawn were no problem for us while growing up. As adults, my father was there to help in any way and was the best at just listening when you needed a friend. My father and mom, Rosa Valdez, loved talking to each other about their grandchildren and remained good friends to the very end. He will be dearly missed by those who loved and cared for him.
Due to COVID-19, the regulations on funerals are no more than 10 people attending at once.
Interment will be on Friday, April 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., at Santo Tomas Cemetery, where his daughters will read Psalm 23 and say a few final words.
To those who cannot and will not attend due to being elderly and social distancing, the family completely understands. We want everyone to be safe. Condolences may be sent to the family through this online guestbook/tribute wall.
In lieu of flowers, if you would like to send a small donation to Felix’s church, he would appreciate it greatly: Believers Christian Center P.O. Box 201825 San Antonio, Texas, 78220.
