Fidel Tijerina Jr.

Fidel "Veve" Tijerina, Jr., of Seguin, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the age of 80. He was born in Seguin, Texas on May 12, 1937 to Rita (Rodriguez) and Fidel Tijerina, Sr.
He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Estella (Garcia) Tijerina, children, Fidel Tijerina III and wife Mary, Sylvia Ann T. Arce and husband Raul, Carolina T. Brueggemann and husband Dale, Alicia T. Rangel and husband Secundio, Jr., and Barbara T. Juarez and husband Ricardo; 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Fidel was a loving and selfless husband, always putting his beloved wife's needs before his own. Caring, hard-working, respectful, survivor and hero are just some of the words that his family use when describing what he meant to them. He will be missed dearly by those that knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Family and friends will meet at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for a Funeral Mass to be held on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. (services will conclude at the church).
