He is preceded in death by his parents, Ramon Ruiz and Bertha Alicia Ruiz Valdez.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia Patricia Ruiz Cardenas daughter, Maria Ruiz Cardenas sons, Manuel Ruiz and Gabriel Ruiz, Jr. sister, Arminda Angelica Ruiz brothers, Juan Jose Ruiz, Ramon Ruiz Jr. and Heriberto Ruiz grandchildren, Makenzie Saldivar and Makayla Saldivar.
