Gertrude Vinyard

Gertrude Doege Vinyard, of Seguin, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 201 at the age of 85, in the comfort her family. She was born in Guadalupe County on October 26, 1929 to Fritz Doege and Rosa Pape.
She is preceded in death by her husband George Vinyard, parents, and brothers, Boerne, Harry Lee and Wilfred Doege and sister Gladys Head.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Ann Helmke and Gloria Jean Vinyard of Arlington, TX; brothers, Glen Roy Doege of San Antonio, Vernon Doege of Seguin and Clifton Doege of Seguin; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary on Monday, March 9, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
