With deep love and grateful hearts, we announce the passing of Gregory Arce Jr., who entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on September 16, 2026, at the age of 93.

Gregory was born on December 2, 1932, in New Braunfels, Texas, to Gregory Arce Sr. and Petra Arce. He lived a long and meaningful life defined by hard work, unwavering faith, and a deep love for his family.

For 64 wonderful years, Gregory shared a loving marriage with his beloved wife, Maria Luisa Arce. Together they built a family founded on faith, love, and strong values that continue to guide generations today. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather whose influence will live on through all who were blessed to know him.

Gregory was a hardworking man who believed in providing for his family and leading by example. He instilled in his children and grandchildren the importance of honesty, integrity, perseverance, and above all, faith in God. God was truly the center of his life. He spoke about the Lord every chance he got and shared his faith with everyone he met. Whether talking with family, friends, or strangers, Gregory never missed an opportunity to speak of God’s goodness and grace.

His faith gave him a peace and confidence that never wavered. He was absolutely certain of his eternal home in Heaven, and while we grieve his absence, we find comfort in knowing that he has entered those pearly gates and is now reunited with his beloved wife, Maria Luisa, and his cherished daughter, Sandy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Luisa Arce, and his daughter, Sandy Arce.

Gregory is survived by his children, Rosario Valdez and husband Jesse Valdez Jr., Rick Arce and wife Linda Arce, Judie Wisher and husband Lamar Wisher, and Gregory Arce III and wife Jean Arce; grandchildren, Christy Nieto, Jesse Valdez, Jeremiah Wisher, Angela Arce, Naomi Castilleja, Rick Arce, Nicholas Arce, Bryan Arce, Andrea Penick, and Clint Arce; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Nieto, Ethan Valdez, Ella Valdez, Jaylin Gonzales, Aubrey Fonseca, Liam Penick, Austin Castilleja, Isabella Castilleja, Nicholas Arce, Anaya Arce, Rylen Arce, Brityn Arce, Caden Arce, Alana Estrada, Anthony Arce, Annabel Arce, Aurelius Arce, Cora Lynn Arce, Zaelynn Arce, Gregory Leal, Jordan Leal, Julez Wisher, and Luna Wisher; and great-great-grandchildren, Autumn Arce, Adalei Estrada, Soleil Estrada, Melodi Estrada, Silas Arce, and Asher Arce.

Gregory’s greatest joy was his family, and he was incredibly proud of each generation that followed him. His love, wisdom, stories, and steadfast faith will remain in our hearts forever.

Though our hearts are broken, we rejoice knowing that Gregory’s journey on earth has ended and his eternal life has begun. We take comfort in knowing that one day we will be reunited with him in God’s heavenly kingdom.

Dad, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, and Great-Great-Grandpa, thank you for the love you gave, the values you taught, and the faith you lived every day. We love you with all our hearts and will miss you beyond words. Until we meet again, may you rest in the peace and glory of Heaven.
