Helen Schwanz

Helen Louise Schwanz, of Seguin, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the age of 84. She was born in Olmos, Texas on September 18, 1933 to Paul and Mary Achterberg.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters: Ida and Minnie Schwanz.
Survivors include her husband: Fritz Schwanz, son: William Schwanz and wife Dianna; grandchildren: Shannon, Morgan, Jessica, Grace, Faith and Brandon; nieces and nephews: Sharon Coker, James Travis Coker, Susan Schwarzlose, Keith, Konner, Madison and Mallori Schwarzlose; as well as numerous extended relatives.
Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. (services will conclude in the chapel).
Helen was an adoring mother and grandmother, especially to her two lovely granddaughters, Shannon and Morgan, who were her world. Spending time with her son and husband in the outdoors, camping and fishing, are fond memories that her son Bill cherishes. She was a member of the Elm Creek Baptist Church. Cooking for her family was something that she enjoyed greatly. Known as an avid sports fan, Helen, mainly admired the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys.
