Jane Wuest

Obituary

Jane Elley Wuest passed away on January 11, 2008 at the age of 85. She died at Guadalupe Valley Nursing Center where she had resided since May of 2007.

She was born Jane Marie Elley at the home of her parents, Robert L. Elley and Elisa Fischer Elley on Stagecoach Road and was the second of four children. Jane lost her father at an early age and lived her mother, brothers, and sister in McQueeney. She was baptized and confirmed at Austin Street Methodist Church. Jane attended the McQueeney school and graduated from the Seguin High School in 1940.

She married her husband Raymond Robert Wuest of New Braunfels in September of 1945. They had two children Dwight and Nadine. They moved to Seguin from Bracken in 1956. She worked at Baenziger's Model Market in the meat market for 30 years until her retirement. Jane was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Wuest is preceded in death by her parents Robert L. and Elisa Fischer Elley, her brother Fermon Elley and Dayton Elley, and her husband Raymond Wuest.

Survivors include her sister Bernice Fleming of Seguin, her son Dwight Wuest of Seguin, her daughter Nadine Wuest Mardock and husband Steve Mardock of New Braunfels and her granddaughter Stacey L. Mardock of Austin.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Seguin.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Palmer Mortuary. Arrangements under the direction of Palmer Mortuary.
