Jesse Castillo Jr.

Jesus "Jesse" Castillo, Jr., of Seguin, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the age of 83. He was born in Seguin, Texas on September 5, 1934 to Maria (Sanchez) and Jesus Castillo, Sr.

He is preceded in death by his long-time partner Maria J. Salas, his parents, and sisters, Virginia Castillo, Juanita Suarez, and Avelina Lozano.

Survivors include his children, Tavita Velez, Jesse Salas and Susie Mendez Castillo; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, siblings Angelita, Mary and Concho Castillo; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Jesse had an independent spirit. He enjoyed watching all sports, especially football, in which he watched faithfully every Sunday. He got a kick out of lotto tickets and picking numbers. Taking care of his animals, even stray cats, was important to Jesse. He will be remembered for his lovable and persistent personality. He will missed by those that knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., with a Rosary to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. and a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held at the Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park and Military Honors will be rendered.
