Joe Rangel

Joe James Rangel of Seguin, passed away on July 4, 2017 at the age of 57. He was born in Seguin, Texas on November 7, 1959 to Jose and Petra Rangel.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Barbara Vela, Mary Flores and nieces, Monica Rangel and Crystal Vela.

Joe is survived by his wife, Cynthia T. Rangel of 35 years, children, Nicole Rangel Gutierrez and son in law Richard Gutierrez, Joseph John Rangel, Brittany Marie Rangel and fiancé Louis Ramon, granddaughter Makayla Gutierrez, brothers, Enrique Rangel and Javier Rangel; sisters, Dahlia Luna, Terry Toms, and Leticia Garcia; as well as many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.

Joe was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all. Joe enjoyed a good game of pool, collecting knives, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and driving his 54 Chevy (which has been handed down from generation to generation). He also loved spending time with his family and friends barbecuing and listening to Conjunto and Tejano music. He enjoyed sports and was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs. Joe was always there to help family and friends in any way possible with whatever they needed from him.

Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady Guadalupe Church (409 W. Krezdorn St., Seguin, TX 78155) on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Joe will be laid to rest at the San Geronimo Cemetery in Seguin, Texas.
