Jorge “Lobo” Salazar Rodriguez

March 18, 1958 — August 13, 2025

Seguin, Texas

Jorge “Lobo” Salazar Rodriguez, an embodiment of warmth and humor, peacefully departed this world on August 13, 2025, in Seguin, Texas, at the age of 67. Born on March 18, 1958, in the vibrant city of Monterey, Mexico, Jorge was a man who wore his heart on his sleeve and embodied an unwavering spirit that brought joy to those around him.

From the moment he graced the earth, Jorge was a hard worker, pouring his energy into everything he did. Friends and family cherished his big-hearted nature, and his kindness radiated to everyone lucky enough to know him. Whether he was sharing a laugh or telling a joke, Jorge knew how to lift spirits and make ordinary moments extraordinary.

Soccer was not just a pastime for Jorge; it was a passion that fueled his soul. Many fond memories were forged while attending his soccer games, a testament to his zeal for the sport. He found joy in dancing and singing along to the music of Los Tigres Del Norte, filling gatherings with laughter and a sense of festivity, especially during the family BBQs he cherished.

Jorge’s love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life. He leaves behind his beloved children: Valerie Soliz, Elizabeth Salazar, Christopher Salazar, and Gerson Salazar, who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and love. His heart was further enriched by the laughter of his grandchildren: Xavier Garcia, Jazlynn Garcia, Serenity Soliz, and Honey Herrera, who brought immeasurable joy into his life.

He leaves behind his only sister Arminda and several brothers, nieces and nephews behind who he loved with all his heart

In addition to his cherished family, Jorge shared a relationship with his girlfriend, Sylvia Lagunas.

Though Jorge’s parents, Rodolfo Salazar and Maria Del Carmen Rodriguez Perez, have predeceased him, their love and teachings live on through him and continue to illuminate the lives of those he touched. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Sergio and Alejandro Salazar, who are alongside their parents in eternal rest.

As we celebrate the life of Jorge “Lobo” Salazar Rodriguez, we remember a kind-hearted man whose laughter, passion for soccer, and love for his family were the threads that wove his life into a beautiful tapestry. He will be deeply missed but always remembered with affection and gratitude for all the moments he shared with us. May he rest in peace, knowing the profound impact he had on our hearts.
