Josefina Carrillo

Josephina "Josie" Telles Carrillo, 80, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017, in Seguin. She was born August 16, 1936, in Guadalupe County to Francisco and Francis (Longoria) Telles.

She is preceded in death by her father, Francisco Telles; her mother and step-father, Francis Villareal and Joe Villareal, Sr.; her brothers, Johnny and Nick Telles; her sister, Velia Telles; and her granddaughter, Eglena Diaz De Leon.

Josie is survived by nine children, Julian Carrillo, Jr. (Melissa), Atsy De La Garza (Rey), Mario A. Carrillo, Robert Carrillo (Sandy), Cindy Gutierrez (Charlie), Twiggy Sassenhagen, Eydie Rosales (Tony), Veronica Carrillo, and Frank Carrillo (Analaura); one sister, Olivia Villegas; one brother, Joe L. Villareal, Jr.; eighteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., the Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (409 Krezdorn St. Seguin, Texas 78155) on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Santo Tomas Cemetery.
