Juan J. Robles, also lovingly known as “Waters,” a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on February 13, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on April 22, 1961, in Seguin, Texas, Juan touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Throughout his life, Juan embodied kindness and positivity, ever willing to lend a helping hand. His charismatic personality shone brightly—his laughter and warm smile had the magical ability to light up any room. He was always quick to express his love, often reminding those closest to him with heartfelt words, "I Love You." These small gestures carried immense weight, creating lasting bonds filled with affection and warmth.

Juan's wisdom and humor were paramount in his interactions, as he was known for sharing his life stories, each woven with valuable lessons that will carry on through those he loved. He believed that life was meant to be celebrated and enjoyed, so he cherished every moment spent with family and friends. His joyous spirit radiated during outdoor gatherings, and his fondness for major sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs, provided him and his loved ones with countless cherished memories. Additionally, he delighted in watching the Winter Olympics, further showcasing his passion for sports and connection with those around him.

A devoted man of faith, Juan was a member of True Worshippers Fellowship in New Braunfels. One of his proudest accomplishments was rededicating his life to Jesus Christ. His renewed commitment to his faith brought him deep peace and joy, strengthening his spirit and serving as a testament to the grace, humility, and devotion that defined his later years. His faith became a guiding light in his life, and he found comfort and strength in his walk with the Lord.

He leaves behind a beautiful legacy, survived by his devoted wife, Rita M. Robles; his loving children, Erica Escobedo and Abigail Torres, along with her husband Adam; his treasured siblings, Armando Robles and wife Lora, David Robles and wife Virginia, Roy Robles, Lisa Castillo and husband Gilbert, and Sylvia Garcia and husband Ernesto; as well as his adored grandchildren, Janessa Llanas and husband Eli, Jazmine Rodriguez and husband Ivan, EJ Llanas, Jahzyra Llanas, AJ Sauceda, Jeramigh Sauceda, Sammy Sauceda, and Alexavian Torres. Juan was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Genesis Montez and Lovely Rodriguez. He is further survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Rene Montoya and wife Maria, Abel Montoya and wife Arcelia, Ben Montoya and wife Rosie, Irene Montoya, Elizabeth Montoya, Beatrice Montoya, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Juan is preceded in death by his cherished parents, Alberto and Guadalupe Robles; his beloved sister, Janie Soria; two baby sisters, Lucia and Elida Robles; his nephew, Gilbert Sanchez Jr.; and his father and mother-in-law, Artemio and Maria Montoya. The love that Juan shared in life will never be forgotten, and his memory will remain a treasure in the hearts of those he left behind.

As we remember Juan, we hold dear to the lessons he imparted and the love he spread. Grandparents are the Angels that watch over us from Heaven, guiding us with their steady love. Juan Robles will forever be loved and missed, a true blessing whose love and guidance will continue to light the path for all who were fortunate enough to know him.

The family will receive condolences on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Palmer Mortuary from 11:30am to 12:30pm with a funeral service to celebrate Juan’s life at 12:30pm. All services will conclude in the chapel and a private cremation will follow.
