Kayla Marie Aquino

Kayla Marie Aquino passed away on April 26, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on October 6, 2005, in Baltimore, Maryland.

Kayla was the beloved daughter of Tomas and Kimberly Bocanegra, and a devoted sister to Lorena and Ricky, with whom she shared a bond woven from love and laughter. Those blessed to know Kayla will forever remember her passion and lore for reading, her one-of-a-kind, contagious laugh, her radiant smile, and the remarkable strength she carried so gracefully throughout life.

Her presence illuminated every room she entered, bringing joy, warmth, and an unforgettable light to all who crossed her path. Kayla’s beautiful spirit will continue to inspire and comfort those who hold her memory close to their hearts.

May the memory of her love and light bring peace and solace to her family and friends during this difficult time.

Kayla is preceded in death by her grandmother, Olivia Bueno Mendoza.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Tomas and Kimberly Bocanegra; her siblings, Lorena and Ricky Aquino; grandparents, James and Regina Braun and Felix Bocanegra Bueno and her fur baby, Misty. She is further survived by extended family and friends that she made throughout life.

Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Palmer Mortuary from 5pm to 8pm. 

Visiting hours will continue Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Palmer Mortuary starting at 9am, a Celebration of Kayla's Life will begin at 11am and interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery.
