Obituary

In Loving Memory of Lee Fred Perez

Lee Fred Perez, born December 10, 1973, in Gonzales, Texas, to his loving mother, Conchita Perez, passed away on October 3, 2026.

Lee was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a man who gave so much of himself to the people he loved. Although he faced many struggles throughout his life, Lee never stopped pushing forward. He continued to fight through every hardship because his family gave him a reason to keep going.

Lee was known as one of the greatest men to those who knew and loved him. He was loving, funny, stubborn, straightforward, and always willing to be there for someone in need. He was everyone's friend and had a way of making people feel welcomed. He was always hopeful for others and would offer his time, advice, help, or simply a listening ear whenever someone needed him.

One of Lee's greatest joys in life was his family. He loved his children and grandchildren more than anything. He worked hard to give his kids and grandkids the life he never had, and he took great pride in seeing them grow. His family was his motivation, his strength, and his greatest accomplishment.

Lee had a passion for old-school cars and loved everything about them. His work in body and paint was never something he considered a job, it was something he truly loved doing. He had a natural talent for working with his hands and bringing cars back to life. He enjoyed going to car shows, going on cruises, listening to music, shooting guns I'm with kids and grandsons, and simply enjoying life with the people he loved.

Lee enjoyed watching UFC fights with his son Jonathan. He loved talking about his Welita and carried her memory with him throughout his life. He enjoyed good food and the simple things that brought him happiness, including Big Red cake, Davila's BBQ, and Letty's enchiladas.

Lee's greatest legacy will live on through his children and grandchildren. Each of them carries a different piece of him-the things he loved, the qualities that made him who he was, and the memories he left behind.

His talent and passion for body and paint on cars will continue through his son Lee Malachi Perez, carrying on the skill that Lee loved so deeply. Malachi shares his dad's hardheadedness, determination, and strong-willed personality-qualities that, just like Lee, could never be easily changed. He carries his father's ability to work with his hands, his love for cars, and the determination to figure things out and get the job done. Lee's knowledge, talent, and passion for body and paint will continue through Malachi, ensuring that a piece of his dad is carried forward every time he picks up a tool and works on a car. In many ways, Malachi will carry on not only his father's talent, but also his strength, and independence.

His love for cruises, his taste in music, his willingness to learn, artistic side ,and his straightforward nature will live on through his son Jonathan Lee Perez. Jonathan will carry the memories of the things they enjoyed together, from watching UFC fights and listening to music to enjoying cruises and simply spending time side by side. Lee's willingness to teach, his openness to learning, and his honest, straight-forward personality will continue to live through Jonathan, keeping a special part of his father with him always.

His stubbornness, kindness, strength, and big heart will live on through his daughter Michelle Lee Perez. She will carry the parts of her father that made him who he was-the determination to keep going, the willingness to help others, and the kindness he showed to the people around him.

And through his grandsons Azuriah, Lee Jr., and Eli Perez, Lee's young, wild, funny, and carefree spirit will continue to live on. Just like their grandpa, they know how to bring the fun wherever they go and have a way of being the life of the party. They carry that same funny, wild, and sometimes crazy spirit that made Lee so much fun to be around. In every joke, every laugh, every crazy moment, and every unforgettable memory they create, a little piece of Grandpa Lee will be there. They will keep his young-at-heart spirit alive and remind everyone that Lee's laughter and love for having a good time will never truly leave this family.

Lee may have left this world, but he did not leave his family empty-handed. He left them his talents, his personality, his passions, his stories, his lessons, his love, and most importantly, pieces of himself to carry forward.

His children and grandchildren are a living continuation of his life. Through them, Lee will continue to love, laugh, create, teach, and live on.

Though his time with us was not long enough, the love, memories, lessons, and laughter he gave his family will remain in their hearts forever. His family finds comfort knowing that his legacy will continue through the people he loved and the lives he touched.

Lee is survived by his beloved wife, Emilie Perez; his sons, Lee Malachi Perez and Jonathan Lee Perez; his daughter, Michelle Lee Perez; and his grandsons, Azuriah, Lee Jr., and Eli Perez.

He is also survived by his mother, Conchita Perez; sisters Leticia Ramos (Jose), Maria Elena Perez, Alicia Hill (Gaberiel), and April Alvarez; brother Edward Najera Jr. (Christina); and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved him dearly.

Lee was preceded in death by his beloved Welita, Brigida Castillo; Welito, Manuel Castillo Sr.; his uncles Domingo Castillo, Ben Castillo, Juan Castillo, and Manuel Castillo; his aunt Juanita Hernandez; and his in-laws Doyle and Esperanza Ellsworth.

Lee may no longer be here in person, but he will live on through every story told, every laugh shared, every car show attended, every cruise, every song that brings back a memory, and most importantly, through the family he loved so deeply.

He was loved beyond words, missed beyond measure, and will never be forgotten.

Until we meet again.
