Maria (Licha) Diaz De Leon Molina was born on June 14, 1936 in Cloete, Coahuila, Mexico and passed peacefully at home on June 25, 2023 to reunite with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Antonia Diaz De Leon.
Maria is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Tomas Molina Jr., 2 sons, Mario and Manuel Molina and 2 daughters-in-love, Alice and Rita Molina and 7 adult grandchildren: Adam (& Gloria), Nicholas (& Ashley), David (& Roxanne), Clarissa (& Raul), Veronica (& Michael), Kristina (& Chris) and Kenny Rodriguez. Maria was also blessed with 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
Maria worked as an elementary school lunch monitor for 6 years after retiring from the workforce. As a lunch monitor, Maria was “grandma” to administrators, teachers, and students alike. At age 86, she wanted to re-apply at the school to work with the children again. In Matthew 19:14, Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.” Inspired by the Word of God, Maria dedicated her life wholeheartedly to family and all others, especially the children, in the name of Jesus and our Holy Mother, Mary.
