Maria Magallanez

Maria Sauceda Magallanez, of Seguin, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at the age of 65. She was born in Seguin, Texas on February 5, 1951 to Fermin Sauceda, Sr., and Sofia Lomas.

Mary worked at Tyson Foods Inc., for 38 years, unfortunately, she had to retire due to health reasons. She enjoyed dancing, singing and listening to music. She loved being with her family and spending time with them in her backyard, Bar B Que'ing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Henry Sauceda and Fermin Sauceda Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Jose S. Magallanez, children, Rene Sauceda (Martha), Rachel Sauceda and Priscilla Sauceda (Dale); grandchildren, Rene Sauceda Jr., Justin Sauceda, Jessica and Nayelli Garcia, Brandon, Kylie and Ashley Wellman; great granddaughter, Nia, siblings, Mingo Sauceda and Yaya, Gilbert Sauceda (Terri) and Gloria Sauceda; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery.
