Mary Herrera

Mary De La Fuente Herrera, of Seguin, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016, at the age of 92, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born in McQueeney, Texas, on June 22, 1924 to Juan and Angelica De La Fuente.
She is preceded by her husband, Cipriano Herrera Sr., parents, and numerous brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her children, Alex Herrera and wife Tina, Henry Herrera, Cipriano Herrera Jr., Velia Rosas, Estela Herrera, Robert Herrera and wife Irma, and Sylvia Daugherty and husband Patrick as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary retired as a seamstress after 25 years and enjoyed playing bingo. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was the monarch of our dear family. She was the Queen Bee. She was always there for us and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Saturday, August 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park in New Braunfels, Texas. Pallbearers will be Joey Rosas, Louis D. Hernandez, Jr., John Herrera, Nicholas Martinez, Justine Martinez and Michael Martinez.
