Our beloved mother Mary L. Palomo passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025. She was born in La Vernia, Texas on May 15, 1934, to Frutoso and Concepcion Elizondo.
After graduating high school, she married Jose C. Palomo and had 71 blessed years together. She found her greatest joy in her family and her grandchildren. She loved to cook, especially on holidays because we all would get together and celebrate family. She worked with Dr. Juan Garcia Perez for 34 years and loved her job. She loved to travel, bake, dance, and have Friday night sleepovers with her granddaughters Marielle and Kaleigh. She made every moment in her life count. Her compassion and kindness knew no end. She will be tremendously missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Johnny, Rudy, Abel, and Raul Elizondo, sister Sarah Santos, and granddaughter Jessica Penuelaz.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Jose, her children Irene Knemoeller and Joe Palomo; sister, Becky Campos; grandchildren, Marielle, Kaleigh, and Joe, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Aspen hospice in San Marcos, Texas for being so wonderful in helping us through this process as well as a very heartfelt thank you to Mayra, our beloved family friend. ❤️
