Melissa Ann Luna, a beloved widow and wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on June 13, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on December 10, 1967, in Prosser, Washington, Melissa’s life was defined by her resiliency, generosity, free spirit, warmth, and the ability to make genuine connections.

Melissa experienced the joy of deep love twice in her lifetime. She was married to Danny Luna until his passing in 2014. She found a true companion and partner in Miguel Flores. Together, they shared a beautiful common-law marriage filled with devotion, laughter, and cherished memories.

She leaves behind her beloved sons Danny Luna Jr., Vincent and Tristan Luna, daughter Darlene Rocha, son-in-law Andrew Rocha, and 6 cherished grandchildren who were the light of her life. Her quick wit, timely wisdom , and ability to make any moment special will be deeply missed.

Melissa endured the loss of her grandparents Juan and Antonia Avila, and her sister Raquel Vigil Santos with remarkable strength and faith. She is remembered by her parents, Louis and Domitila Vigil and her sister Teresa Moran, along with a large extended family and countless friends whose lives she touched.

Following her move to San Antonio, Melissa pursued her passion for helping others at St. Philip’s College, where she earned an Associate of Applied Science and became a certified Occupational Therapist Assistant. When an unexpected, life-changing event later turned her world upside down, Melissa met it with unwavering resilience and an unbreakable spirit.

Central to that strength was her deep devotion to Jesus; her faith was the anchor that guided her through every trial and filled her heart with peace. Her encouragement and strength inspired others and her thoughtful presence left a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Melissa was beautiful but feisty, completely outspoken, but fiercely loving. She was never afraid to speak her mind, and you always knew exactly where you stood with her. But underneath her sharp, honest exterior was a heart of pure gold. Melissa gave wholeheartedly to anyone in need without a single second thought. She always opened her home to anyone who needed a place to stay or a meal to eat. Her loving and giving spirit will be deeply missed. Her happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren, cheering them on, and making memories filled with laughter.

The family will honor her wishes for cremation.

Viewing will be held on Friday June 19, 2026 at Palmer Mortuary & Cremations located at 1116 N. Austin st. Seguin,TX 78155 from 4:00pm-6:00pm with an Informal service/speakers from 6:30pm-7:30pm.
