Norma Jean Grainger, of Kingsbury, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the age of 73. She was born on November 19, 1952, in Texarkana, Arkansas, to William and Jewell Linzy. 

She is preceded in Death by her parents.

Norma is survived by her husband, William "Alton" Grainger.

After entering the US Army Norma was assigned as Military Police of the 529th Military Police Company in Heidelburg, Germany; the 52nd Military Police at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas; after leaving the Army Norma continued public service as a police dispatcher with Converse Police Department; Retail sales with Stafford's Western Wear and Naylor's Farm & Ranch in Corpus Christi, Texas; a special education assistant at Callallen ISD; a driver for Whitey Pattons Hot Shot Service and Manning Bumper Service in Corpus Christi; and a jailor for City of Corpus Christi. 

Norma enjoyed many interests and hobbies throughout her life, including horseback riding, raising and showing Siamese cats, creating ceramics, beading, and various arts and crafts.

A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
