Patrick Taylor Daugherty , 74, of Seguin, Texas, passed away on August 30, 2026, surrounded by the family he cherished and loved so deeply.
Patrick was born on May 15, 1952, to Kenneth and Ethel Marie Daugherty. He lived a life rooted in faith, family, love, laughter, and hard work.
Patrick graduated from Arlington State College with a degree in Electrical Engineering and began his career at ITT in Dallas, Texas. He later found his true passion on the open road, becoming a professional truck driver. He drove for Coastal Freight Lines for 22 years and Walmart Transportation for 24 years, earning the nickname “Easy Money.” He was also passionate about rodeo, participating in events, receiving numerous awards, and serving as a trainer.
Outside of work, Patrick enjoyed riding his Harley, listening to the Bee Gees, and spending time with the people he loved.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Herrera Daugherty; stepson Luis Daniel Hernandez Jr.; stepdaughter Rochelle Angelique Leal; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; numerous nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law Henry, Alex (Tina), Cipriano, and Robert (Irma) Herrera; and sisters-in-law Estela Herrera and Betty Rosas.
Patrick will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
