Pedro Baltierra Jr., born on October 19, 1940, in Villa Guanajuato, Mexico, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, in Seguin, Texas. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a joyous grandfather who touched the lives of many during his time on this earth.
Pedro's life was marked by hard work and dedication. He began his journey as a young man in the fields, where he worked tirelessly picking apples, onions, and potatoes. His commitment to providing for his family led him to serve for many years in various positions, including a long and fulfilling career as a Dye Operator for Mission Valley Mills for 25 years. He also worked briefly with HEB before enjoying a well-deserved retirement.
Despite not having formal training, Pedro was a man filled with knowledge and an insatiable love for learning. He was an avid reader and had a passion for tinkering with new things, demonstrating a vibrant curiosity about the world around him. His grandchildren fondly remember him as a grandparent who embraced modern technology, always eager to engage with the latest electronics.
Pedro was married to his beloved wife, Olivia Pantoja Baltierra, for an impressive 62 years. Together, they shared beautiful moments, supporting each other through life's challenges and celebrating its joys. He took immense pride in his family, actively participating in the lives of his children and grandchildren—taking them to school, attending sports games and recitals, or simply enjoying playful mischief together.
Pedro is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Carmen Jimenez Jimenez, and his son, Francisco Baltierra
He is survived by his wife, Olivia, and his children: Pedro Baltierra, Javier Baltierra (Carolina), Roberto Pantoja Baltierra (Maria Elena), Olga Bennett (Eric), and Carlos Baltierra. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Amanda Plummer (John), Michael Baltierra, Kassandra Baltierra, JJ Baltierra (Kate), Sam Madera (Aaron), Amanda Muyengwa (Don), Roberto Baltierra Jr. (Cindy Tristan), Jennifer Leeann Baltierra (Josh Salazar), Alicia Michelle Bennett (Morrigan Smith), Erica Michaela Bennett, Miguel Raider Bennett, Carlos Baltierra Jr. (Angelynn), and Abigail Kristen Baltierra. He also cherished his great-grandchildren: John Plummer Jr., Kataleya Plummer, Josue Madera, Benji Madera, Bryan Ulrich, Addi Baltierra, Maddi Baltierra, Kaleb Muyengwa, Valentina Muyengwa, Christopher Bear Baltierra, Amelia Rose Baltierra, Meadow Melody Salazar, Matteo Finn Bennett, Bentley Nicholas Baltierra, Iris Rayne Baltierra, and Zayden Derek Baltierra. He also leaves behind his siblings: Maria Rios, Juan Jimenez (Nancy), and Rosa Jimenez, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will remember him fondly.
He will be deeply missed by his family leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
The family will receive condolences on December 22, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Palmer Mortuary. A Rosary will follow at 6:45 PM. A final viewing will take place on December 23, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, concluding with a Prayer Service starting at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Santo Tomas Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Carlos Baltierra, Roberto Baltierra Jr., Kassandra Baltierra, Javier Baltierra Jr, Carlos Baltierra Jr, and Miguel Raider Bennett. Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Baltierra.
