Pedro Villareal

Pedro S. Villareal Sr., of Seguin, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 15, 2019, at the age of 93. He was born in Gonzales, Texas, on August 29, 1925 to Manuel and Ruth S. Villareal.
Pedro is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Ruth S. Villareal; first wife, Ruth Enriquez Villareal; sons, Carlos Villareal Sr. and Pedro S. Villarreal Jr.; along with two brothers, Joe Villareal and twin brother, Paul Villareal.
He is survived by his loving wife, Melinda Mertz Villareal; their children, Adrian Mertz, Leticia Mertz (Javier), Christopher Mertz and their fur baby, Lucky; his and Ruth's children, Oscar Villareal (Diane), Stephen Villareal (Margie), Abel Villareal (Maria), Ruben Villareal (Alma), Rosa Villareal Sepulveda (Irineo), JoAnn Villareal Casarez (Julian), Gloria Villareal Macias (Louie), Cynthia Villareal Rojas (Willie), Sylvia Villareal McPhail (Michael), Norma Villareal Camarillo (Joel), and Elizabeth Villareal Gomez (Mario Sr.), 51 grandchildren, 89 great grandchildren, and 40 great-great grandchildren; along with his 7 half-sisters and 3 half-brothers.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Palmer Mortuary Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 1:00 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church with a Funeral Mass at 1:30 p.m.
