Peggy Shayea

September 17, 1928 — November 2, 2014

Peggy J. Shayea, of Seguin, went home to the Lord on Monday, November 3, 2014 at the age of 85.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Peggy and Gene Shaw of Canyon Lake son Shelby E. King of Canyon Lake and soninlaw Shane Smith of Seguin.
Survivors include her daughter Marsha Stilley and husband Dave of Port Aransas, daughter Lauren Smith of Seguin, grandchildren, Casey Smith of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Caitlyn Smith of Arlington and great granddaughter Klover Smith also of Oklahoma City.

Not a native to the area, Peggy came to Seguin in 1976, where she will most be remember for her many years at Greenery Station Restaurant, the Chaparral Country Club and she was a coowner with Lauren of KN DriveIn. Peggy so loved these positions and had a great affection for the community. She retired to Canyon Lake to care for her elderly parents and her son Shelby, who suffered injuries from a motorcycle accident which later led to his passing. She returned to Seguin, the town she loved in 2005, where she lived quietly.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 6:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a Memorial Service to be held at 7:00 p. m.
