Richard Christopher Serna “Porky”, age 30 of Seguin, Texas was born on December 28, 1990 in San Antonio, Texas to Ermelinda and Richard Serna. He went home to be with the Lord on August 20, 2021, at the age of 30, with his Family by his side.
Porky grew up as an energetic, fun, silly, and loving kid who loved to be outside. He loved to attend car shows and swap meets with his Dad and uncles and loved to dance. He was even a local rap artist along with his childhood friends. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and liked to attend family vacations and parties. He was a Momma’s boy and very close to his siblings. He has three beautiful children that he loved, thought of, and prayed for constantly; they were his pride and joy. He lit up any room he walked in, always joking around, or making a silly face just to make people smile. As an adult, he spent most of his time working various oil field jobs where he made a lot of friends. He enjoyed spending his free time getting his hands dirty doing mechanical work; he loved cars and motorcycles. He was very artistic as well and enjoyed wood crafting, painting, drawing, and making t-shirts for his “Gabzilla” (cousin). He also loved baking; sweets were his favorite. He loved country music and enjoyed going to concerts with his cousins, Valarie and Joey. You could always catch him on an evening cruise visiting family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents, Simon and Ernestina Barrientes, Paternal Grandparents, Robert and Maria Serna, Uncles Robert Lee Serna and Rodolfo Serna, and Aunt Sherri Barrientes.
