Robert Garcia, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and master carpenter, left this world peacefully on August 28, 2025, just a day after celebrating his 63rd birthday and 42nd wedding anniversary. Born on August 27, 1962, in Floresville, Texas, Robert's life was filled with love, laughter, and remarkable achievements that leave an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.
As a skilled Master Carpenter tradesman and the proud owner of 3Gs Cabinetry, Robert's talent and artistry shone brightly in his work. His craftsmanship was not just a career; it was a passion that brought beauty into the homes of many and earned him a place in seven episodes of "The Property Brothers," showcasing the incredible creations that flowed from his hands. Robert took pride in his work, and each piece he crafted was a testament to his dedication, skill, and the blessings bestowed upon him by God.
Above all, Robert was a family man, completely devoted to his wife, Elogia "Lohie" Garcia, with whom he shared 42 beautiful years of love and partnership. His love for her was unwavering, and the joy they found in each other was evident to all who witnessed their bond. Together, they built a life filled with cherished memories, a life enriched by their two sons, Robert Garcia Jr. and Joshua Michael Garcia, and their grandchildren, Joshua "JJ" Garcia and Ava Lynn Garcia, who were the apples of his eye. Robert cherished every moment spent with his family, teaching his sons the value of strength and kindness, and reveling in the joy that comes from being a grandfather.
A man of many interests, Robert was known for his exuberance for life. He loved to ride his Harley, and his passion for grilling was evident in the way he treated his custom-built barbeque grill as one of his prized possessions. Gathering around the grill with family and friends, sharing meals and stories, was one of his happiest pastimes. Robert found solace in the great outdoors, where he enjoyed fishing and hunting, living out the spirit of the modern-day cowboy. His heart was always open, and his laughter was infectious.
Robert's life was not without its challenges, having faced the sorrow of losing his parents, Domingo Sr. and Celia Garcia, his baby girl, and his sister, Esperanza "Patty" Lerma. Yet, through these hardships, he remained a pillar of strength for those around him, drawing from his experiences and guiding his loved ones with wisdom and love.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Elogia "Lohie" Garcia; his children, Robert Garcia Jr. and Joshua Michael Garcia; his grandchildren, Joshua "JJ" Garcia and Ava Lynn Garcia; as well as his brothers and sisters: Domingo Garcia Jr. (Alice), Valentin Garcia (Lillie), Rudy Garcia (Sylvia), Senovio Garcia, Maria Sylvia Garcia-Schnell (Tom), Steve Garcia (Margaret), Gloria Herrera (Ruben), Irene Garcia (Partner Kasey), Minnie Rivera (Jerry), Dahlia Castillo (Mark); and a large, loving extended family filled with nieces, nephews, and friends.
Robert Garcia was a man who will be profoundly missed, but his legacy will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His spirit will continue to inspire those who loved him, reminding us all of the beauty found in simple moments and the importance of a life lived with kindness and love.
