Robert “Tine” Leal of Seguin, Texas passed away peacefully at the age of 64 on July 4, 2023. He was born on January 22, 1959, to Eliseo and Santos Leal. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Jose Ramon Leal and Benito Leal Sr.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister Diana Gil (Alfred); brother Ruben Leal Sr. (Pam); sister Laura Ramirez (Juan); and sisters-in-law Mona Leal and Leticia Garcia Leal. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members, and friends.
Robert loved life and always had a smile on his face. In his younger years, prior to becoming fully disabled, he enjoyed riding his bike around the neighborhood, visiting with all the neighbors. He never met a stranger. He enjoyed being outdoors. When he wasn’t outside, you could find him watching sports. He loved all sports, especially football and basketball. His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs. Robert loved wearing one of the many baseball caps that he had collected through the years. And you can bet that one of the caps he wore regularly was either a Dallas Cowboy or Spurs cap.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023 at Palmer Mortuary beginning at 8:00 a.m. followed by a rosary at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with a mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery.
