On Monday, October 9, 2017, Roy James Jenner of Marion, Texas, passed on to eternal peace. Roy was born on December 18, 1935, in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, to Harold J. and Adel K. Jenner.
In 1958, Roy joined the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Sam Houston, Texas with the 32nd Medical Depot. On February 27, 1960, Roy and Dorothy were married at the Fort Sam Houston Historical Chapel. After two years active duty, they moved to Michigan and completed his service, later moving to South Florida before returning to Texas. Roy worked as a truck driver for Central Freight Lines in San Antonio, Texas for twenty four years and retired in 2000. He was happiest enjoying time with his family and staying in touch with his friends, both local and in several other states.
Roy is survived by his wife of fifty seven years, Dorothy K. Jenner; daughter Pamela Boikoff and husband Murray of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Susan Jenner of Marion, Texas; and Roy's son, James Jenner of Seguin, Texas; three grandchildren, Sarah Jenner Czajka & husband Corby of Cibolo and Weston and Hudson Jenner of Seguin; five great grandchildren, Dillon, Justin, Courtney, Haylee and Riley; brother, David Jenner; sister, Nancy Tanner and husband Tom, all of Michigan.
Memorial services will be on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. A memorial service will follow the service from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 308 Dean Chase Drive in Cibolo, Texas for family and friends.
