Ruth Villegas entered into the presence of the Lord on June 24, 2026, at the age of 45. She was born on October 23, 1980 in Mathis, Texas.
Ruth was preceded in death by her loving parents, Minerva Calderon Villegas and Jose Blas Villegas; her sister, Flor Estela Villalobos; her brother-in-law, Jose Manuel Ramirez; her great nephew, Nathan Valles, and her beloved pet, Whiskers.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her sister, Maria Sandoval and husband Juan Sandoval; brother, Enrique Villegas; sister, Norma Tschoepe and husband Jerry Tschoepe; brother, Jose Blas Villegas Jr.; sister, Enedelia Ramirez; many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and her boyfriend, Garrett Abrahams.
Ruth lived life with so much joy and love. She enjoyed attending “Along for a Ride,” where she built meaningful friendships. She loved going on outings, shopping, watching movies, dining out and making many memories with the staff, friends, and especially Garrett.
Ruth grew up attending Iglesia Bethel with her parents and currently attended Crossroads Church, where she proudly purchased a shirt that read, "I Love My Church,". She loved God, she loved to worship, and she found great joy in her faith.
Ruth treasured every moment spent with those she loved, including her cherished pets. She was always ready for an adventure. She loved cheering for the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys, completing word searches, bowling, playing cornhole, taking walks, and visiting her favorite stores: Buc-ee's, Five Below, Dollar Tree, and Ross.
One of Ruth's most endearing habits was ending her text messages with the simple question, "Did you get my message?" Those words now serve as a loving remembrance. Anyone who knew Ruth will remember her kind heart, loving spirit, her sense of humor, and her willingness to help others. She had a smile that could brighten any room and a laugh that was truly contagious. She often shared fond memories of the loved ones and pets who had gone before her.
Ruth’s life was a blessing. She will always be remembered, loved, and missed beyond measure.
Services honoring Ruth will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Palmer Mortuary, Seguin, TX. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Santo Tomas Cemetery.
