Santiago Chavez

Santiago "Jimmy" Chavez, of Seguin, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the age of 92. He was born in Seguin, Texas, to Anselmo and Refugia Chavez on July 26, 1926.
He is preceded by his parents; son, Jimmy Chavez; sisters, Isabel Chavez and Nieves Herrera; brothers, Manuel, Jose, Raul, Enrique and Benino Chavez.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Concepcion Chavez; brothers, Epimeno Chavez and wife Eva and Domingo Chavez; sister, Paula Cope; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Mr. Chavez will be remembered as a hard-working, simple man who will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on January 12, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery.
