Simona Salazar Guerra of Seguin, Texas, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at the age of 87. She was born in Seguin on April 12, 1939, to Santos and Marcelina Salazar.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Domingo Guerra Sr., and three sons, Danny Guerra, Esteban (Steve) Guerra, and Domingo (Cha-Cho) Guerra Jr.

She is survived by her children Angela Guerra, Barbara Hernandez, Rose Ponder, Michele Singh, Oscar Guerra, Jason Guerra, and Krystl Trinidad, as well as 18 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Simona was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy was being a mother and watching her family grow through four generations of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Some of Simona’s happiest moments were the everyday ones she spent with her sisters, family, and friends. She loved a visit at home just as much as catching up over lunch, and many of us will remember running into her around town, out for a bite to eat or enjoying an afternoon of shopping. Those ordinary moments meant so much to her, and they’re the ones we’ll find ourselves missing most.

Rest peacefully in heaven, Simona. You will forever be loved and remembered. We’ll miss you in the everyday moments and we are so grateful for the time we had with you.
