Valentin T. De Leon Jr. of Seguin, Texas went to be with Lord on February 6, 2021 at the age of 70. He was born on May 11, 1950 to Valentin De Leon and Anita T. De Leon.
Valentin was a Welder for 35 years at Symons Corporation. He loved to sit outside and read the newspaper. He also enjoyed drawing and playing the guitar. He was a man of God, his faith to the Lord was unbreakable. He found comfort when reading scriptures from the bible. He will be deeply missed by his family and all of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Maria Natividad Rodriguez; parents, Valentin and Ainta T. Delon; brother, Seferino De Leon; sister, Adelia Nieto; granddaughter, Belinda Marie Arce Wenig and great-granddaughter, Mayra Jalieen Salinas.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Felipa Pineda and spouse Manuel Ortega, Robert Pineda and wife Rachel, Gilbert Holguin and wife Mirta along with ex-wife Maria Menchaca, Josie Holguin, Ramon Holguin Jr. and wife Lydia, Henry Rodriguez; several grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and his sister, Juanita Martinez. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews, and extended family and friend.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Palmer Mortuary. Services will conclude in the chapel on Friday evening.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, the chapel has a limited capacity of 50 guests at a time. As per CDC protocols social distancing of 6 feet is required and all guests attending services at the funeral home and cemetery are required to wear a face covering.
