Victoria P. Lopez of Seguin, Texas was called home to the Lord on Friday, August 21, 2020 at the age of 75. She was born to Jose and Mercedez Perales on June 15, 1945 in Seguin, Texas.
Victoria was a loving and supportive mother. She always did her best to make sure that her children had what they needed. She had a giving heart, she would always give any way she could to anyone who needed it. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Victoria is preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Lopez; her father and mother, Jose and Mercedez Perales; her brother and his wife, Joe and Louisa Perales; sisters, Lupita Chavez and Maria Perez and her son-in-law, Eugene Cortez.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Vickie Cortez and Raymond Lopez and wife Rachel; grandchildren, Abel Hernandez, Abbey Flores and husband Rick, Joe Anthony Hernandez, Vickie Lynn Cortez, Victoria Matamoros and husband Troy, Eugene Cortez Jr. and wife Caroline, Andrew Cortez and wife Cynthia, Corine Cortez and Damiana Cortez as well as numerous great-grandchildren; her sister, Maria Montoya and brother, Jessie Perales. Victoria is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
A walk through visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., due to the capacity limitation in the chapel the family asks that the Funeral Services remain for only immediate family at 12:00 p.m. at Palmer Mortuary. Everyone is invited to the interment following services at Santo Tomas Cemetery. The family asks that everyone gather at the cemetery, as there will be no funeral procession departing from the funeral home.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, we ask that those attending please walk through and pay your respects to allow everyone the opportunity to visit with the family as the funeral home chapel can only accommodate 45 people at a time. As per CDC protocols social distancing of 6 feet is required and all guests attending services at the funeral home and cemetery are asked to wear a face covering.
