Virginia was a hard-working business woman that wasn't afraid to provide for her
family. She was the first Hispanic woman to open her own business known as
Virginia's Beauty Salon at the downtown square of Seguin in 1942. Her beauty
shop was a local social gathering place for many young adults in the area as far as
Lockhart. She provided a friendly hang out, sponsored a few parties as well as
servicing ladies with their hair-cuts and set. She later moved and opened another
Virginia's Beauty Salon also located on the downtown square of San Marcos. In
addition, she worked with her husband Florencio who eventually had a very
successful photography studio named Miranda Studio. The studio was well
known throughout the hill country area. She enjoyed traveling in her younger
years, in which she actually lived at some time, in New York City and New Orleans.

She will be missed greatly by those that knew and loved her.
