Helen Crowder

Helen Marie Crowder of Seguin, Texas entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the age of 69. She was born to Ernest Armstrong and Helen Joyce Ferges on December 30, 1949 in Austin, Texas.

Helen is preceded in death by her son, Dustin Crowder; father, Ernest Armstrong; Step mother, Henrietta Armstrong; Mother-in-law, Evelyn York and brothers, Thomas Armstrong, Ron Ferges, and Jeff Ferges.

She is survived by her mother, Joyce Ferges; husband of almost 39 years of  marriage, Kaabee Crowder (JR); children, Richard Tarver, Shauna Crowder (Randy Sosa) and Michael Crowder; grandchildren, William Tarver, Dylan Sosa, and Aubry Sosa; step grandchildren, Noah, Nathan, and Nadia Sosa and a host of other family and friends.

Helen Crowder was a loving wife, mother, and friend. She helped others in need when she could. When her grandson Dylan was born, Helen helped her daughter Shauna care for him by staying in San Antonio 2 weeks of every month while her daughter worked nights. In March of 2016, Helen came to the rescue again, when her grandson Michael was born. Helen and JR took custody of Michael at just 3 days old. After nearly 3 years of challenges, they were finally able to legally adopt Michael in February of 2019. Over the years Helen and JR have opened their home to several family members as well as friends.  Helen's loss will be felt by many.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will begin at 5:00 p.m. followed by a Holy Rosary and Prayer Service to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Palmer Mortuary on Thursday, December 19, 2019 all services will conclude in the chapel.
