Jesusa Carrillo

Jesusa Rico Carrillo, of Seguin, Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the age of 79, from Covid-19 complications. She was born in Seguin, Texas on January 16, 1941 to Jose Gutierrez and Petra Rico.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Gutierrez and Petra Martinez.

She is survived by her daughters, Joann Espinoza and Judy Chapman; son, Patrick Carrillo; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; her siblings, Santiago Gutierrez (Dora), Eloisia Aguirre (Felipe), Paula Gutierrez, Manuel Gutierrez, Jose Gutierrez (Gloria), Guadalupe Quintanilla (Ruben), Maryellen Herrera (Benjamin) and Bobby Gutierrez; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Susie enjoyed playing bingo and made many friends while doing so. She loved to fish especially on the banks of the Guadalupe River. She also loved to cook her delicious food for family and friends.

She will be deeply missed by all that knew Susie; she had a zest for life and was always lending a helping hand with her beautiful smile and generous heart.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Palmer Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow at Santo Tomas Cemetery.

As per CDC protocols social distancing of 6 feet is required and all guests attending services at the funeral home and cemetery are asked to wear a face covering.
